The Simons Foundation is pleased to welcome two new Senior Fellows and 14 Junior Fellows to its Simons Society of Fellows, including Columbia Quantum postdoctoral fellows, Alon Dogon and Lorenzo Graziotto.
Dogon is working with Henry Yuen, Shrivani Professor of Computer Science. His research focuses on group theory and its interactions with operator algebras and dynamics, including their applications to theoretical computer science and quantum information. Graziotto is working in the laboratory of James McIver, assistant professor of physics. His research interests focus on the interplay between light and matter in condensed matter systems
Formed in 2014, the Simons Society of Fellows encourages intellectual interactions across disciplines and research centers in the New York City area. Junior Fellows receive mentorship and other opportunities for professional growth, such as conferences, workshops, annual retreats, weekly lectures and dinners.
Congratulations, Alon and Lorenzo!
